Noun (नाउन) के प्रयोग में हमसे कहां गलती होती है ?
English Grammar में Noun (संज्ञा ) एक ऐसा Parts of Speech है जिसे हर कोई आसानी से कहता है Noun is the name of person ,place ,thing that is called Noun पर जब हम इसका Grammatically ,या फिर किसी exam में use करते हैं तो अक्सर गलती कर देते हैं। इसको कहते हैं Common errors in nouns, Common mistakes with nouns, Errors in the use of nouns, Common Spotting Errors, .Nouns के use में कोई भी sentence बनाने में गलती कर लेते हैं। Grammar Pustak के इस भाग में हम उन Errors के बारे में discuss करेंगे। ताकि Nouns का किसी भी sentence में उपयोग करने में गलती न हो सके। इसे ध्यान से पढ़िए बहुत ही interesting और जरूरी है। "Errors IN NOUNS " नीचे English और हिंदी में बिलकुल साफ और clear दिया हुआ है।
नीचे दिए गए वाक्यों में 10 उदाहरण दिए गए हैं उन उदाहरणों कौन सा Sentence Right है कौन सा wrong इसकी व्याख्या नीचे दी है इन्हे ध्यान से पढ़ें और समझें।
Error ---The news are broadcasting.
Correct---The news is broadcasting.
ऊपर दिए गए दो वाक्यों में कभी ये लगता है कि news के साथ s लगा है और हम उसके साथ Helping Verb "are" का प्रयोग कर लेते हैं जो Error है। news शब्द का प्रयोग हमेशा सिंगुलर Noun में की जाती है। इसको समझने के लिए हम हिंदी में ट्रांसलेट करते हैं।
Error -- खबर प्रकाशित हो रहे हैं।
Correct-- खबर प्रकाशित हो रही है।
Error -- Her hairs are black and shiny.
Correct--- Her hair is black and shiny.
इस वाक्य में हम ये Error कर लेते हैं कि Hair नाउन को हम के साथ हम are का प्रयोग कर लेते हैं जो Error है बाल (Hair) एक Collective Noun है इसलिए इसका प्रयोग हमेशा Singular Noun के रूप में किया जाता है।
Error --The wages of sin are death.
Correct--The wages of sin is death.कभी हम Wages के साथ s लगा हुआ देख कर इसे Plural Noun समझ लेते हैं पर ये शब्द "Wages of sin" एक Clouse है इसलिए इसके साथ हमेशा सिंगुलर हैल्पिंग वर्ब का प्रयोग होता है।
Error --Riches have always made him proud and obstinate.
Correct----Riches has always made him proud and obstinate.
Riches शब्द को हम प्लुरल समझ लेते हैं इसलिए इसके साथ Helping Verb are,या have का प्रयोग कर लेते हैं आप Riches का अर्थ अमीरी होता है जो की सिंगुलर नयन है।
Error --The sceneries of Chhudra are very beautiful.
Correct--The scenery of Chhudra is very beautiful.
scenery शब्द का प्रयोग अगर दृश्य के रूप में किया जायेतो यह सिंगुलर नाउन होती है। इसलिए दूसरा वाक्य Correct है।

"innings" शब्द को हमेशा ही सिंगुलर नाउन के रूप में Use किया जाता है।

Politics का अर्थ राजनीती होता है राजनीतियाँ नहीं इसलिए राजनीति के साथ सिंगुलर हेल्पिंग वर्ब का प्रयोग होगा।

ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में news ,hairs ,wages ,riches , sceneries ,innings ,politics ,mathematics ,furniture और poetries का हम Error use कर लेते हैं और इन्हें Plural Number Noun समझ कर इसके साथ ,are ,were या have का प्रयोग कर लेते हैं जिससे Noun Error हो जाती है।

ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में words ,much और many का Correctउपयोग कैसे होता है ये दर्शाया गया है। much का प्रयोग वहां पर होता है जहां पर noun की गिनती न हो सके।

1) संज्ञाएं जैसे कविता (Poetry) , दृश्य (Scenery) , सलाह (Advice), रोटी (Bread), सामान (Luggage) , स्टेशनरी (Stationary),फर्नीचर (Furniture), आदि का प्रयोग हमेशा एकवचन रूप में उपयोग किए जाते हैं और इसके साथ एकवचन क्रिया का ही प्रयोग होता है।
2) Nouns भेड़ (Sheep), हिरण (Deer), मवेशी (Cattle), (Poultry) मुर्गी पालन, लोक (Folk), लोग, पुलिस (Police) जैसी जो संज्ञा होती है उसका प्रयोग केवल बहुवचन संज्ञाओं के रूप में किया जाता है और उनके साथ बहुवचन क्रियाओं का ही प्रयोग होता है।
3) समिति (Committee), जूरी (Jury), परिषद (Council), टीम (Team), विपक्ष (Opposition), क्लब (Club) आदि जैसे संज्ञाओं को सामूहिक संज्ञा के रूप में भी लिया जा सकता है और उन्हें एकवचन के रूप में उपयोग किया जाता है। जैसे "The team has given a very good performance." यहां पर यूनिट को दर्शाया गया है इसलिए एकवचन है अपर जब "The team are fighting like street boys " यहां पर यह बहुवचन को दर्शाता है।

Noun के प्रयोग में Error नंबर First - जब Noun देखने में Plural लगता है पर वास्तव में होता है Singular
Common Noun का use करने में हम Errorी उस समय कर लेते जिस समय (Word Noun) देखने में तो Plural लगता है पर वास्तव में वह Plural होता नहीं है और उसके साथ was, were का प्रयोग न होकर is, are, am , Helping verb का प्रयोग होता है। जैसे उदाहरण नीचे देखें।
