"Past Perfect Continuous Tense ऐसे कार्यों को व्यक्त करता है जो (Past) भूतकाल में आरंभ में आरंभ हुए थे और भूतकाल के ही में जारी रहते हैं। Past Perfect Continuous Tense के वाक्य ( Verb ) क्रिया से यह बोध कराते हैं कि कोई (action ) कार्य भूतकाल (Past ) में लगातार कुछ समय तक जारी रहा हो। जैसे दो साल से काम कर रहा था, सवेरे से काम कर रहा था, दो घंटे से काम कर रहा था ,अर्थात काम तो किया गया अपर पास्ट में किया गया और काम पूरा चुका है बस ये टेंस सिर्फ समय का बोध कराता है। "

- सलीम यह किताब को दो घंटे से पढ़ रहा था । ----- वाक्य के Last में "से पढ़ रहा था।" इसलिए ये Past Perfect Continuous है।
- सिमरन सुबह से सो रही थी । --- वाक्य के लास्ट में "से सो रही थी।" आया है इसलिए ये Past Perfect Continuous है।
- क्या वह उस घर में 1980 से रह रहा है । ---- वाक्य के Last में "से रह रहा था ?" आया है इसलिए ये Past Perfect Continuous है।
- वे इस कार्यालय में वर्षों से काम कर रहे थे ।.---वाक्य के Last में "से काम कर रहे थे।" आया है इसलिए ये Past Perfect Continuous है।
- मैं सुबह दो बजे से कपड़े धो रहा था। ---- वाक्य के Last में "से कपड़े धो रहा था।" आया है इसलिए ये Past Perfect Continuous है।

Rule (नियम) 1-- Past Perfect Continuous Tense के Affirmative Sentences वाक्यों (sentences ) में सबसे पहले Subject He , She ,it ,You ,We ,They का प्रयोग होता है।
Rule (नियम) 2 ---उसके बाद "had been " का प्रयोग होता है। सभी Subject He , She ,it ,You ,We ,They चाहे वह singular हो या Plural सभी के साथ " had been" ही लगता है
Rule (नियम) 3 - "had been " के प्रयोग के बाद First Form of verb के साथ "ing " लगाया जाता है। जैसे She had been writing ,They had been writing आदि।
Rule (नियम) 4 -उसके बाद Object या Predicate लगाया जाता है जैसे She has been writing a letter.They have been singing a song . आदि a letter and a song is Predicate.
Rule (नियम) 5 -- Subject या Predicate के बाद Since / For लगाया जाता है जहाँ पर Points of time हो वहां पर Since और जहां पर Period of time हो वहां पर For लगाया जाता है। जैसे He had been living in Gurdaspur since 2020 .यहां पर 2020 points of time है। और They had been bathing for afternoon .यहां पर afternoon एक period of time है।
Rule (नियम) 6--- Since Points of time के साथ लगता है या exact time साथ लगता है जैसे --Since 6 AM ,Since 8 O 'clock ,Since morning ,Since evening ,Since noon , Since midnight ,Since tomorrow ,Since Yesterday ,Since Sunday ,Since Monday ,Since 1967 ,Since 2020 आदि। और For का प्रयोग Period of time के साथ होता है जो time exact नहीं होता है जैसे --For two days ,for four months ,For many years आदि।

Rule (नियम) 1 -- Past Perfect continuous Tense के Negative Sentences वाक्यों (sentences ) में सबसे पहले Subject He , She ,it ,You ,We ,They का प्रयोग होता है।
