नमस्कार दोस्तों Parts of speech में Proposition एक ऐसा भाग है जो हर किसी परीक्षा में पूछा जाता है और हम हमेशा

इसके use करने में गलती कर लेते हैं Grammar Pustakके इस भाग में हम Proposition की Definition (परिभाषा ),

Meaning,Types (प्रकार ), Examples (उदाहरणों ) की व्याख्या दे रहे हैं जो आपको Preposition के बारे में सब कुछ

Clear करेगा, Prepositions का प्रयोग "Use of Preposition" कहां पर होता है और किन परिस्थितियों में होता है इसके

बारे में सभी जानकारी With Examples दी गई है। इस पोस्ट में जितनी भी prepositions हैं उनके प्रयोग के Rules भी

दिए हैं।  

Preposition (पूवर्सगर्)

Definition of Preposition in Hindi (हिंदी में परिभाषा ) 

Preposition (सम्बन्ध सूचक अव्यय) वह शब्द होते हैं जो किसी Noun ,से पहले प्रयुक्त होकर , उसका संबंध वाक्य के

किसी अन्य Noun या Pronoun से व्यक्त करें। जैसे of,in ,at ,for, under,into , by etc . 

Examples of Preposition ( (उदाहरण ) in Hindi

अब हम वाक्य के माध्यम से समझने की कोशिश करेंगे ताकि आपको अच्छी तरह से समझ में आये|

• Sharda is going to school. 

इस वाक्य में  "Sharda  is going" और "school" के बीच क्या सम्बन्ध है यह “ to” के द्वारा पता चलता है। इसलिए 

" to " Preposition है। 

• This is from Ansh. 

इस वाक्य में भी "This is" और Ansh के बीच का सम्बन्ध " from"  शब्द से पता चलता है। इसलिए from Preposition है। 

• The cup is in the book. 

इस sentence में भी Cup और book के बीच क्या सम्बन्ध है वह “on” शब्द से पता चलता है.इसलिए on preposition है। 

Types of Preposition ( (सम्बन्ध सूचक अव्यय के प्रकार )

यहां पर हम Preposition ( (सम्बन्ध सूचक अव्यय के प्रकार ) के पांच प्रकार दे रहे हैं और उसको याद करने का फार्मूला

(Formula ) भी हिंदी में दिया गया है।

Compound Preposition (यौगिक पूर्वसर्ग)

Phrase Preposition (वाक्यांश पूर्वसर्ग)

Participle Preposition (कृदंत पूर्वसर्ग)

Double Preposition (दोहरा पूर्वसर्ग)

1) Simple or Single Preposition

Use of Preposition in Hindi with Examples. / Rules to Use At in Hindi ( Preposition At का प्रयोग कहां होता है।  

1) Use of Preposition “At ” in Hindi with rules  and Examples

1)  At का प्रयोग गांव , उप नगर , कस्बे या कॉलोनी के साथ होता है। 

Examples (उदाहरण) 

• उनका जन्म बटाला में हुआ था।
• She was born at Batala . 

• रीना आदर्श नगर में रहती है।
• Rina lives at Adrshnagar . 

यहां पर ऊपर दिए गए वाक्य में Batala और छोटे उप नगर के नाम हैं इसलिए At का प्रयोग होगा। 

2) Noun ,noon , night , midnight  के साथ जैसे भो "At" का प्रयोग होगा जैसे नीचे दिए गए उदाहरणों को देखें। 

• वह दोपहर में वापस आएगी।
• She will be back at noon . 

• आधी रात को होगी पार्टी
• Party will be at midnight . 

ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों में noon और midnight के साथ at लगा है। 

3) किसी अवकाश या छुट्टी के साथ जैसे 

• क्रिसमस पर स्कूल बंद रहेगा।
• The school will remain closed at Christmas. 

• हम सप्ताह के अंत में आनंद लेंगे।
• We will enjoy at week - end . 

4) किसी निश्चित समय या स्थिति के साथ  या Point of time के साथ जैसे 

• बैठक सुबह सात बजे होगी।
• The meeting will be held at 7 am . 

• ट्रेन रात 10 बजे शुरू होगी।
• The train will start at 10 Pm . 

5) किसी वस्तु का Rate बताने के लिए जैसे 

• सेब 40 रुपये दर्जन में बिकेगा।
• The apple will sell at Rs 40 a dozen . 

• चावल ऊंचे भाव पर बिकता है।
• Rice is sold at a high rate . 

6) किसी वाक्य के beginning या end के साथ जैसे 

• समारोह की शुरुआत में राष्ट्रगान गाया जाता है।
• At the beginning of the function the National Anthem is sung . 

• अनुक्रमणिका पुस्तक के अंत में है।
• Index is at the end of the book . 

7) किसी speed या गति के साथ जैसे 

• वह 60 किमी प्रति घंटे की गति से कार चलाएगा।

Use of Preposition " In " in Hindi / Rules of Use "In" in Hindi /  " In " का प्रयोग कहां कहां होता है। 

1) In का प्रयोग किसी बड़े प्रान्त, नगर ,या देश के साथ होता है। जैसे 

• मेरी बहन कलकत्ता में रहती है।
• My sister lives in Calcutta . 

• मेरी बहन कलकत्ता में रहती है।
• She has begun her business in Uttar Pradesh . 

2) कोई भी वस्तु जो स्थिर अवस्था में हो उसको बताने के लिए। जैसे 

• ये छात्र कमरे में नहीं पढ़ रहे हैं।
• These students are not reading in the room . 

• घड़े में पानी नहीं है।
• There is no water in the jug . 

3) कुछ देर चलने वाले समय के साथ जैसे 

• 1949 में चीन स्वतंत्र हुआ।
• China became independent in 1949 . 

• मेरी बहन 1980 में अमेरिका गई थी।
• My sister went to America in 1980 . 

4) Future में अवधि समाप्त होने के साथ जैसे 

• वह एक हफ्ते में अमेरिका से लौटेंगे।
• He will return from the USA in a week . 

• राधा अपना कार्य एक सप्ताह में समाप्त कर सकती है।
• Radha can finish her work in a week . 

5 ) किसी भी स्थिति या context को बताने के लिए जैसे 

• उन्होंने अपना जीवन गरीबी में बिताया।
• He spent his life in poverty . 

• मेरी राय में राहुल एक महान खिलाड़ी हैं।
• In my opinion Rahul is a Great player . 

6) किसी भी महीने ,season ,या साल के नामों से पहले जैसे 

Examples

• वह अगस्त में बेंगलुरु जाएंगे।
• He will go to Bangalore in August . 

• सर्दियों में बहुत ठंड होती है।
• It is very cold in winter . 

7) Points of natural time के साथ जैसे 

Examples

• वह सुबह आएगी।

8) कुदरती दिशाओं को बताने के लिए जैसे

• राजू दक्षिण में 6 किलोमीटर चला।

9) Uniforms और dressed के साथ use किया जाता है जैसे

• आपको उचित पोशाक में स्कूल जाना चाहिए।

• सभी जानते हैं कि दुल्हनें चमकीले कपड़ों में दिखाई देती हैं।

Use of "Into" in Hindi / Rules of Using "Into" in Hindi 

1} ये वाक्य बाहर से अंदर आने वाली परिस्थितियों में व्यक्त किये जाते है। 

Examples

• वह नदी में कूद गया।
• He jumped into the river . 

• चोरों ने घर में तोड़फोड़ की। 
• The thieves broke into the house 

2) ये रूप परिवर्तन के लिए भी use किये जाते हैं। जैसे 

Examples

• रमा एक सुन्दर लड़की हो गई है। 
• Rama grew into a beautiful woman . 

• इस पैसेज का अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद करें।
• Translate this passage into English . 

3) ये वाक्य math में जब Division की जाती है तब भी use किये जाते हैं। 

Examples

• पांच बटे दस पचास दस्  है।
• Five into ten gives fifty . 

• पांच दो में विभाजित दो है।
• Five divided into two is two .

Use of  Preposition "To" in Hindi / Rules to Use "To" in Hindi / "To" का प्रयोग कहां होता है। 

1) एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक जाने के लिए किया जाता है। जैसे 

Examples

• वह आगरा गया हुआ है।
• He has gone to Agra . 

• वह पिछले सप्ताह अपने गांव गई थी।
• She went to her village last week . 

2) Indefinite verb के बाद भी इसका प्रयोग होता है। जैसे 

Examples

• वह सबसे पहले स्थान पर आना चाहती है।
• She wants to stand first . 

• जनसंख्या को नियंत्रित करना मुश्किल है।
• It is difficult to control the population . 

3) जहां पर as far as का प्रयोग होता है। जैसे 

Examples

• नदी के बीच में पानी हमारे गले में आ गया।
• In the middle of the river water came to our neck . 

• स्थिति कर्फ्यू की हद तक पहुंच गई।
• Situation came to an extent of  curfew .    

4) इसका प्रयोग समय बताने के लिए भी किया जाता है। जैसे 

• It is five to seven . 
• It is quarter to eight . 

5) Comparative Degree of Adjective के साथ जैसे 

Examples

• वह मुझसे श्रेष्ठ है।
• He is superior to me . 

• वह चाय के बजाय कॉफी पसंद करती है।
• She prefers coffee to tea. 

6) Indirect object से पहले जैसे 

• कृपया यह पुस्तक राकेश को सौंप दें।
• Please hand over this book to Rakesh . 

7 ) Feelings ,emotions (भावना ) बताने के लिए जैसे  

Examples

• भारतीय अजनबियों के लिए अच्छे होते हैं।
• Indians are nice to strangers . 

• वे आलोचकों के प्रति क्रूर हैं।
• They are cruel to the critics . 

8) Word figure में between के बीच में जैसे 

Examples

• उस महिला की उम्र 50 से 55 के बीच होगी।
• The age of that woman will be between 50 to 55 . 

• वह 12 से 13 संतरे ले सकता है।
• He can take oranges 12 to 13 . 

9) अवस्था  ( Position ) बताने के लिए जैसे 

Examples

• उसका स्कूल मेरे घर के उत्तर में है।
• His school is to the north of my house . 

• उसका घर मेरे घर के दक्षिण में है।
• Her house is to the south of my house . 

10) जमा या जोड़ के लिए जैसे 

Examples

• अगर पांच से दस जोड़ा जाए तो यह पंद्रह होता है।
• If it is added five to ten it is fifteen . 

• पानी में थोड़ा दूध डालें।
• Add some milk to water . 

11) In the sense of for /of जैसे 

Examples

• कड़ी मेहनत सफलता की कुंजी है।
• Hard working is the key to success .

Use of  Preposition "On"  in Hindi 

1)  Preposition "On" का प्रयोग दिनांक और दिन के पहले जैसे 

Examples

• वह शनिवार को जाएंगे।
• He will go on Saturday . 

• भारत 26 जनवरी 1950 को एक गणतंत्र बना।
• India became a republic on 26 January ,1950 . 

2) By means के दुआरा Preposition "On" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• पेट्रोल या डीजल से चलते हैं वाहन।
• Vehicles run on petrol or diesel . 

• परिवार प्यार से चलता है।
• Family runs on love . 

3) कोई कारण या निर्भरता बताने के लिए भी Preposition "On" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

• अंशु हमेशा पिता की सलाह पर काम करता है।
• Anshu always acts on father's advice . 

• कुछ जीवन दूसरों की आय पर चलाते हैं।  
• Some live on the income of others . 

4) अधिकार या स्वामित्व बताने के लिए Preposition "On" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

• क्या आपके पास कोई पैसा है?
• Have you  got any money on you ?

5) किसी वस्तु की स्थिति प्रकट करने के लिए Preposition "On" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

• यह किताब मेज पर है।
• This book is on the table . 

• वह हमेशा पैदल विद्यलय जती है ।
• She always goes to school on foot . 

6) Near ness पता बताने के लिए जैसे

• बिलासपुर यमुना नदी के तट पर है।

Use of Preposition "With" in Hindi /  Rules to Use "With" in Hindi 

1)  किस method (तरीका ) या manner बताने के लिए Preposition "With" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• उसने चाकू से उसकी हत्या कर दी।
• He killed him with a knife . 

2) उसी समय को बताने के लिए Preposition "With" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• हम सब सूरज के साथ उठते हैं।
• We all rise with the sun . 

• वह उसके साथ उठी।
• She got up with him . 

3) किसी जुर्म के बाद भी "With" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• उसके सभी दोषों के साथ, मैं उससे प्यार करता हूँ।
• With all his faults, I love him . 

• अपने अपराध के साथ वह उससे बात करती है।
• With his crime she talks to him . 

4) किसी संगति या फिर साथ जाने पर "With" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

Use of Preposition "By" in Hindi / Rules to Use Preposition "By" in Hindi

1) Passive voice के साथ Preposition "By" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• उसे शिक्षक द्वारा दंडित किया गया था।
• He was punished by the teacher . 

• वह मुझे प्यार करती थी।
• She was loved by me . 

2) Beside किनारे के साथ Preposition "By" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• मेरे गांव के पास एक नदी है।
• There is a river by my village . 

• छात्र प्राचार्य के पास खड़ा रहा।
• The student stood by the Principal . 

3) वह काम जो समाप्त होना है "By" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

• वे सुबह छह बजे आएंगे।
• They will come by 6 am . 

• वे दिसंबर तक अपना काम पूरा कर लेते हैं।
• They complete their work by December . 

4) किसी भी style या action के साथ Preposition "By" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

5) किसी भी जाति के साथ Preposition "By" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

1) जब किसी वस्तु का आदान -प्रदान किया जाता है Preposition "For" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• उसने अपने मोबाइल के लिए एक किताब खरीदी।
• He bought a book for his mobile . 

• उसने अपने मोबाइल के लिए एक किताब खरीदी।
• She bought a car for his house.

2) किसी भी गलत कारण के लिए Preposition "For" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• वह अभद्र भाषा के लिए पीड़ित है।
• He is suffering for rough language . 

• राकू अपने व्यवहार के लिए पीड़ित है।
• Raku is suffering for his behavior. 

3) किसी समय को बताने के लिए जैसे 

Examples

• वह एक महीने तक लंदन में रहे।
• He stayed in London for a month. 

• वह एक महीने तक बटाला में रही।
• She stayed in Batala for a month. 

4) Destination स्थान को बताने के लिए  Preposition "For" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• बस आगरा के लिए बाध्य है।
• The bus is bound for Agra . 

• कृपया दस मिनट प्रतीक्षा करें।
• Please wait for ten minutes . 

5) किसी उद्देश्य के लिए (On behalf of) "For" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• वह एक नेक काम के लिए मर जाएगा।
• He would die for a noble cause . 

• हमारे स्वतंत्रता सेनानी हमारी आजादी के लिए शहीद हुए।
• Our freedom fighters died for our independence . 

6) Present Perfect Continuous और Past Perfect Continuous Tense के लिए जैसे 

Examples

• वह दस साल से काम कर रहा है।
• He has been working for ten years . 

• यह काम उसने पांच साल तक किया था।
• She had done this job for five years . 

Use of Preposition "Of " in Hindi 

1) किसी Relationship को प्रकट करने के लिए Preposition "Of" का प्रयोग होता है  जैसे 

Examples

• वह हमारे स्कूल के प्रिंसिपल हैं।
• He is the Principal of our school . 

• वह अंग्रेजी के शिक्षक हैं।
• He is an English teacher of English . 

2) जब कोई चीज किसी से बनी हो Preposition "Of " का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• टेबल लकड़ी से बना है।
• Table is made of wood .

• यह इमारत ईंटों और पत्थरों से बनी है।
• This building is made of bricks and stone . 

3) मरने का कारण बताने के लिए जैसे 

Examples

• चंचलो की कैंसर से मौत हो गई।
• Chanchlo  died of cancer . 

• हर साल कई लोग मलेरिया से मर जाते हैं।
• Many people die of malaria every year . 

4) किसी व्यक्ति का गुण बताने के लिए Preposition "Of " का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी उच्च चरित्र के थे।
• Atal Bihari Vajpayee was of high character . 

• लाल बहादुर शास्त्री उच्च नियति के व्यक्ति थे।
• Lal Bahadur Shastri was a man of high destiny . 

5) किसी तिथि को बताने के लिए " Of " का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

• यह दस जनवरी है।
• This is the tenth of January. 

• आज पांच फरवरी है। 
• It is the fifth of February.  

Use of Preposition "Off " in Hindi / Rules to use Preposition "Off " in Hindi

1) किसी Separation जैसे वाक्य के लिए  के लिए Preposition "Off" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• भारी हिमपात के कारण कश्मीर शेष भारत से कटा हुआ है।
• Kashmir is cut-off from the rest of India due to heavy snowfall . 

• कृपया अपने जूते यहाँ उतारें।
• Please take your shoes off here . 

2) जब कोई ऊपर से नीचे आता है जैसे 

Examples

• लड़की सीढ़ियों से गिर गई।
• The girl fell off the stairs . 

• वह सीढ़ियों से गिर गया।
• He fell off the stairs . 

3) अपने आप के बचाव के लिए  Preposition "Off" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• बुरे लोगों को दूर रखने की कोशिश करें।
• Try to keep off bad people . 

• कृपया, अपने आप को आग से दूर रखें।
• Please ,keep off yourself from the fire. 

Use of Preposition "From" in Hindi / Rules to Use Preposition "From" in Hindi   

1) किसी भी Point of time के साथ जैसे 

Examples

• 3 मार्च से कक्षाएं शुरू होंगी।
• Classes will begin from 3rd march . 

• सुबह नौ बजे से बाजार खुले रहेंगे।
• Market will remain open from 9 am . 

2) कोई भी Origin या Source बताने के लिए जैसे 

Examples

• निःसंदेह चंद्रमा को सूर्य से प्रकाश मिलता है।
• No doubt ,the moon gets light from the sun . 

• ये पंक्तियाँ बाइबल से ली गई हैं।
• These lines are taken from the Bible . 

3) कोई भी बीमारी का कारण बताने के लिए Preposition "From" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• वह बुखार से पीड़ित है।
• He is suffering from the fever . 

• वह कैंसर से पीड़ित हैं।
• She is suffering from cancer . 

4) किसी भी स्थान की location बताने के लिए Preposition "From" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• वह दिल्ली से है।
• He is from Delhi . 

• वह आगरा से जा रही थी।
• She was going from Agra . 

5) Future tense के वाक्य के साथ जैसे 

Examples

• वह हमें अगले हफ्ते से पढ़ाएगी।

• वे अगले सप्ताह से हम तक पहुंच गए।

6) किसी भी Period of time के साथ Preposition "From" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे

• उसे अगले हफ्ते से ड्यूटी करनी है।
• She has to do duty from next week . 

• उन्हें पिछले महीने से ड्यूटी पर रहना है।
• They have to be on duty from last month . 

7) जब कोई अलग दिखता है जैसे 

Examples

• वह दूसरे से अलग है।
• He is different from the others . 

• मेरी लड़की मेरे परिवार के बाकी सदस्यों से अलग है।
• My girl is different from the rest of my family members. 

Use of Preposition "Above" in Hindi / Rules to use of Preposition "Above" in Hindi  

1) एक दम ऊपर वाले Placed के साथ Preposition "Above" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• यह पंखा उसके सिर के ऊपर लटका हुआ है।
• This fan is hanging above his head . 

• उनका व्यवहार आलोचना से ऊपर है।
• His behavior is above criticism . 

2) जब कोई चीज जरूरत से ज्यादा हो जैसे 

Examples

• यह कहानी मेरे से परे है। 
• This story is above me . 

• आपको अपने साधनों से ऊपर नहीं रहना चाहिए।
• you should not live above your  means . 

3) Superior स्थिति बताने के लिए जैसे 

Examples

• राम ने अपनी बेटी से खुद से ऊपर शादी की।
• Ram married his daughter above himself . 

• वह कार्यालय में ऊपर है।
• He is above the office . 

Use of Preposition "Between" in Hindi 

1) जब दो वस्तुओं या व्यक्ति के बीच में कोई चीज बांटी जाये जैसे 

Examples

• इन आमों को राम और श्याम के बीच बांटो।
• Distribute these mangoes between Ram and  Shyam . 

• दोनों बहनों के बीच प्यार नहीं है।
• There is no love between both the sisters . 

Use of Preposition "Among" in Hindi 

1) जब दो से ज्यादा वस्तु या व्यक्तिओं के बीच में कोई बाँटने की बात हो  तो Preposition "Among" का प्रयोग होता है

Examples

• जैसे पांचों भाई आपस में झगड़ पड़े।
• The five brothers quarreled among themselves . 

• इन आमों को तीन विद्यार्थियों में बांटें।
• Distribute these mangoes among three students . 

Use of Preposition "Behind" in Hindi  

1) जब पीछे की ओर संकेत किया जाता है जैसे 

• लड़कियां दीवार के पीछे छिप गई थीं।
• The girls had hid themselves behind the wall . 

2)  समय बताने के लिए Preposition "Behind" का प्रयोग होता है जैसे 

Examples

• फ्रंटियर मेल समय के पीछे है।
• The Frontier mail is behind time . 

• यह ट्रेन उस ट्रेन के पीछे है।
• This train is behind that train . 

Use of Preposition "After" in Hindi  

1) Past Indefinite Tense के साथ जैसे 

Examples

• बस नौ बजे के बाद आई।
• The bus came after 9 am . 

• लड़के बस के पीछे भागे।
• The boys ran after the bus . 

Use of Preposition "Over" in Hindi
